The Official Democratic Party X Account Told a Sitting White House Official to “Shut Up, You Ugly F---.” It Was a Salaried Staffer Posting It.

On the afternoon of Wednesday, May 27, 2026, the official X account of the Democratic National Committee — @TheDemocrats, the party's flagship comms platform, operated under DNC Chair Ken Martin (D) — replied to a tweet by Stephen Miller (R), White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy, with four words: “shut up you ugly fuck.” The reply ran on the DNC's verified account for hours before any institutional response.

Within hours, Katie Miller, Stephen Miller's wife and a former DHS press secretary, identified the staffer running the account by name: Paulina Mangubat, the DNC's Deputy Chief Mobilization Officer, age 30, Barnard '17, previously the digital director for Boston Mayor Michelle Wu (D).

The post was not the work of an anonymous shitposter. It was a paid senior comms employee of the Democratic Party's national committee posting on the institution's flagship account. As of publication, DNC Chair Ken Martin has not condemned the post, disciplined the staffer, or issued an institutional statement. Nor has he condemned a separate Memorial Day post by the same account — exploiting photos of 13 fallen U.S. service members in a political attack on Trump — that DNC quietly deleted on May 25 after Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) and Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO, former Army Ranger) publicly condemned it. The two posts ran 48 hours apart.

This is the same violent political rhetoric that is leading people to shooting up, whether it be the White House Correspondents' Dinner or President Trump in Butler.

§ 02 / The Memorial Day Pattern, 48 Hours Earlier
What the Same DNC Account Did on May 25

Sunday May 25, ~11am ET. @TheDemocrats posts a Memorial Day message featuring photos of 13 fallen U.S. service members with the line: “Today, we honor the American heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in Trump's war with Iran.” The post reached approximately 1.1 million views before deletion.

Late Sunday evening. DNC quietly deletes the post after Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) — a Black Hawk pilot who lost both legs in Iraq — and Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO), a former Army Ranger, publicly condemn the use of fallen service members in a political attack. No apology issued. Replacement: stock flag image.

Wednesday May 27.Same DNC X account posts the “shut up you ugly fuck” reply to Stephen Miller.

Through Thursday May 28. DNC Chair Ken Martin (D) issues no public statement on either post. No disciplinary action announced.

It is incredibly distasteful to use our heroic dead for a political attack on Memorial Day. I'm a Democrat and I condemn this post by the DNC.

Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) · May 25, 2026

If we want the moral high ground, we have to be better.

§ 03 / Conservative Reaction

This is the party that spent years lecturing America about civility, unity and healing. The party that cried when Trump was 'mean' on Twitter. This is who they really are. And they wonder why they keep losing.

His opponent, Alfred E. Neuman, may be the worst TEXAS candidate I have ever seen. He is a strong Open Borders advocate, he is WEAK ON CRIME, believes there are 6 genders, is insulting to Jesus Christ, will never support the Military, was a big Mask Wearer until recently, and is a Vegan who dislikes meat.
