Saturah Hayes, 17, was shot and killed at a pre-prom photo gathering at Webb Banks Passive Park in Brownsville, TN on May 9, 2026. More than 100 Haywood High School students were in the park in prom attire — tuxedos, evening gowns, corsages — when shots rang out at approximately 7:55 PM. Four others were injured, at least one critically. No suspect arrested. TBI and Brownsville PD are investigating. Haywood County is one of only 3 Tennessee counties that voted Democratic in 2024. DA Frederick Agee (28th District) had just reported zero murders in the district for all of 2025.

Rhamell Burke, 32, a former Broadway dancer — five arrests in 2026, zero bail — was released from a Bellevue psychiatric hold still wearing his hospital bracelet and allegedly shoved Ross Falzone, 76, a Columbia Ed.D. and retired special ed teacher, onto Manhattan subway tracks. Brook Ann McDaniel, 27, of Monticello, KY was arrested by KSP Post 15 after investigators found a black “party dot” tattoo on her 22-month-old son’s inner arm. The home was described as “deplorable.” Charged under KRS § 508.030 (Class A misdemeanor). $5,000 bond. The boy was placed in protective custody. Gov. A dancer stabbed to death at a Brooklyn gas station after asking men to turn down homophobic music. Perpetrator Waseem Akhtar, 17, was convicted of second-degree murder.
